The ASCO Palliative Care MOC course consists of 30 multiple-choice questions which include patient case information, educational links and answer rationales. This activity provides an in-depth look at a broad spectrum of palliative care issues. Specific topics include physical symptoms, cognitive/phychosocial symptoms, last days of life, hospice care and administratince issues. This activity is a tool for self-assessment of medical knowledge as it relates to palliative care.
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify and address knowledge gaps toward improved competence in palliative care;
- Apply knowledge gained to the treatment of individual patients, as appropriate;
- Demonstrate participation in life-long learning and enhancement of knowledge as required in the ABIM Maintenance of Certification process.
