The ASCO Journal Club, formally known as the Oncology Literature Review Series, summarizes information from key articles published in major journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO), on a quarterly schedule. Articles, editorials, and reviews selected for the Journal Club focus on practice-changing translational science and clinical trial findings and emphasize their application to practice.
Literature summaries by expert faculty are provided for the following topic areas: Breast Cancer, Gastrointestinal Cancers, Genitourinary Cancers, Lung Cancer and Hematologic Malignancies. These quarterly summaries address papers recently published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology as well as other major journals.
New for 2015, the Journal Club will include quarterly reviews of research on clinical pathways. This section will highlight key findings, comment on their application to practice, and synthesize the implications of articles related to the topic. The clinical pathway reviews are based on relevant JCO content types, including original reports, Oncology Grand Rounds, and Understanding the Pathways.
The 2015 series is now offered with CME credit. Courses will be launched: 1st Quarter - March 25; 2nd Quarter - June 24; 3rd Quarter - September 23; 4th Quarter - December 16.
