This is a free case-based activity that includes discussion of a 38-year-old smoking Caucasian woman who has biopsy proven invasive moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the cervix. Along with the patient case, there is a discussion board on ASCO Connection, where users can post comments/questions to each other and to the faculty. At the end of this course you should be able to:
- Review risk factors for development of cervical cancer, staging, and prognostic factors
- Analyze current standard of care in evaluation and treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer
- Evaluate emerging information on systemic therapy for recurrent or metastatic disease
