This course highlights the recommendations in the ASCO Guideline , “2010 Update of Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy for Women with Hormone-Receptor Postive Breast Cancer,” through cased based presentations and discussion. Additionally, the course includes access to the ASCO Guideline Treatment Plan and Summary forms, a linkable Bibliography, selected sessions from the ASCO Virtual Meeting Library, and Helpful Resources to use with patients.
Learning Objectives:
- Review adjuvant endocrine therapy options for post-menopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer and apply knowledge gained to address clinical situations encountered in practice
- Examine common and uncommon side effects and adverse side effects related to adjuvant endocrine therapy to inform the appropriate treatment options for patients.
- Describe the optimal endocrine therapy for women who are premenopausal at the time of breast cancer diagnosis.
